Christian foundation

Along with your Christian home and church, Christian schools help create a strong foundation for life. Redeemer offers you a place where your teen can grow and nurture both their faith and friendships. A place where teachers are as passionate about Christ as they are about academic excellence.

At Redeemer Christian High School, we:

  • emphasize a Christian worldview through an integrated curriculum
  • offer a program that develops critical thinking
  • develop students’ God-given gifts and talents
  • encourage Christ-like behaviour and openness to God, and
  • give students opportunities to serve God and others.

Our mission is to provide a community of learning that challenges students to develop disciplined hearts, minds, and bodies, according to the full measure of Jesus Christ.

About Redeemer

Redeemer Christian High School is an independent, faith-based school with a positive and supportive school culture. Since 1975, we’ve provided a quality, Christ-centred education to Ottawa area students in grades nine through twelve.

We are:

  • Ottawa’s only independent Protestant Christian High School offering an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • A multi-denominational school–our approximately 150 students come from more than 40 different area churches
  • A faith-based community with certified and dedicated Christian teachers, engaged parents, and supportive members

We offer:

  • A quality and integrated curriculum stressing a Christian/Biblical worldview in academic and applied high school courses
  • Opportunities for both inter-school and intramural sports teams, specialized arts programs, enriching educational trips, and co-operative work experiences

Partner with us to strengthen and encourage your child to develop their God-given gifts and talents.

Life-long friendships are established at Redeemer because students are encouraged to participate in spirit days, intramurals, clubs, and other extra-curricular activities that help them get to know each other better.

It takes more than weekly chapel and daily devotions to make our school Christian. It takes an intentional effort on the part of all staff to weave the message of the Gospel into every course, every subject, even extra-curricular activities.
