Redeemer Christian High School is seeking a new Principal/COO to start in the 2025/26 school year. The ideal candidate will be someone with integrity and dedication, who has a strong background in education, and is a creative visionary capable of leading from a Christ-centered worldview. 

About RCHS

Redeemer Christian High School has served the Christian educational needs of the nation’s capital region by integrating faith and learning for 50 years. We are located in Ottawa, Ontario, a city with rich history and natural beauty. RCHS seeks to provide students with a Christ-centered secondary education. We aim to educate students in a vibrant and supportive environment, equipping them for a life of faithful Christian discipleship and service. The RCHS community currently represents over 18 different denominations, has 28 staff members and over 200 students from Grades 9 to 12. RCHS is an Ontario Ministry of Education accredited school that provides an OSSD, and it is also affiliated with Edvance and Christian Schools International.

  • seeks excellence in all facets of school life from curriculum to pedagogy; school programs to extracurriculars; staff meetings to community events.

  • is an excellent 'brand' ambassador—capable of communicating the vision of RCHS to prospective parents and able to continue to engage the community through effective communications and presentations when required.

Demonstrates Administrative Ability . . .

  • has experience with general administration and in implementing a COO governance model.

  • manages an effective education program and ensure that educational standards are achieved so that students meet or exceed the Ontario Curriculum requirements.

  • advises and make sound recommendations to the board.

  • demonstrates knowledge and experience in utilizing a learning management system (LMS) to enhance teaching and learning at the high school level.

  • works closely with the Director of Communications to market the school using various promotional methods to encourage school growth.

  • is fiscally savvy and has a strong competency interpreting financial statements, creating budgetary guidelines and projections, and executing procurement activities.

  • develops relationships with other principals, especially those in partner schools, key members of the educational environment and para-school organizations such as Edvance.

  • encourages the Redeemer community including students, alumni, parents, staff, and supporters in promoting enrollment and supporting the school through prayer, volunteering, and financial contributions.

Has the Following Education and Experience . . .

  • Bachelor of Education

  • Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) or equivalent

  • Christian School Teacher Certificate (CSTC) or Christian School Principal Certificate (CSPC) preferred

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • 5 to 10 years teaching/classroom experience (in an Edvance school setting an asset)

  • 5 years experience as VP/Principal preferred
