After a summary of the historical background of the Old Testament and the social setting of the time before the New Testament, students examine the gospel of Matthew to discover connections between the Old Testament and the person of Jesus.  Context and content is examined for the book of Acts, three of Paul’s letters, James and Revelation.  Students also practice interpretation and exegesis techniques for these books.  A summary of the origins of New Testament texts completes the course.
